What a day. My passport arrived. I submitted my visa application during lunchtime and within an hour it was granted. I handed in my notice. I booked a flight to Seoul. It’s all happening now.
Well the lovely folks at the UK Passport Office have been in possession of my application form for over a month now and their website still claims it is being processed. I did phone up last week to find out if there’s anything I needed to do, and the gentleman on the other end was very helpful, assuring me that everything was in order and I should be getting my passport back soon. He was Northern Irish so he was, and he even said ‘so it is’, which almost made me chuckle so it did.Continue reading
You could do no wrong checking out my pal Dan’s BLAWG, he’s been doing the Oz thing for a while now (total stole my idea by the way), following a successful trip to Beijing as an au pair. I’ve been keeping a close eye on his shenanigans, as he continues his quest to find live wild kangaroos and brew some rather delectable looking ales.
I used to live in Australia. A 9-month stint with my family spanning the years 1995-1996 (the time of PlayStation, Michael Jackson’s HIStory, and Disney’s Pocahontas). We lived in the most Northern of Perth’s suburbs, where I attended school and took up taekwon-do.
